Satisfy Your Soul: A Summer Yoga Retreat with Shannon Kluever and Amy Armstrong
Join Shannon and Amy for all things yoga in the deep end of summer. Surround yourself with ocean, island, creek, and sky. Practice yoga, meditation, deep relaxation and enjoy satsang with your yoga community at the gorgeous and serene Yoga Lodge on Whidbey Island in the north Puget Sound. In addition to the yoga program, we will share fresh, delicious, locally-sourced meals, have ample opportunity to hike, explore, nap, or partake of an invigorating, cleansing sauna.

Plan for a 4-hour drive from Portland to Port Townsend, WA, where you will board the ferry for Whidbey Island. The ferries are least crowded at midday. Take an early afternoon ferry -- you can find more information on the Washington State Ferry System website. It's a short, beautiful cruise to the island.
Check in at the Yoga Lodge on Thursday afternoon, settle in and explore the grounds. We'll connect for a brief orientation, and then you're on your own. Thursday night is a time for you to settle in and truly arrive. Go into Langley for Greek food, a movie at the historic Clyde theater, or ice cream at Mike's. The retreat proper begins on Friday.
Start Friday morning with silent meditation and then breakfast is served. You'll have the morning and early afternoon to hike, journal, rest, and breathe. We will meet in the lovely yoga space in the afternoon for our first asana class. Afterward, there will be time to take a sauna, sit in the sun, walk or meditate before dinner. Evening satsang will focus on restorative practice and deep relaxation.
Saturday includes meditation, a vigorous and celebratory morning asana practice, cooling asana and pranayama practices in the afternoon (perfect for the summer heat), followed by some time to nap. In the evening, we will gather in the yoga space to attend to our heart chakras. The difficulty of daily life often leaves us feeling closed off from our own hearts, but with a little work we can reconnect to our deepest center, our source of energy. We will gather afterwards around the fire pit and under the stars, a rare chance in our busy lives to let the mysteries of this great universe enfold us.
We'll gather for Sunday morning meditation and asana practice. Enjoy this last morning on the island in the way that best suits your needs. We will share lunch, and then say so long, moving back toward our daily lives with the deep, calm energy we need to connect to others with heart and soul!

Accommodations and Payment:Space is Limited---two bedrooms have 4 beds each, and one has 3 beds. If you are traveling with friends and wish to be placed together, get your requests in ASAP! We have 11 beds in total.
And we have 11 spots under the stars, so bring your tent and sleeping bag and gather round the fire pit or down by the creek. (Campers have the same access to bathrooms and all other facilities as those in rooms.)
$100 non-refundable deposit holds your spot. Checks only please. Full Payment is due by May 30th, no exceptions.
Any cancellations after June 30th will not be refunded unless the space is filled. If your spot is filled, you will receive a refund, less the $100 deposit.
